Skelmersdale-based personal injury solicitor firm Scott Rees & Co have donated 272 easter eggs to the Action for Children charity. Action for Children is a charity that helps to support the less fortunate children and we hope our eggs will be given to the less privileged children this easter time.
The ‘egg’-cellent effort was arranged by Emma Tedford, who is a business analyst with the firm. She has helped the charity provide every child who they support within the Wigan and Liverpool regions with a chocolate egg this Easter, for the first time since it’s formation.
Action for Children team leader, Liz Chriscoli expressed her delight and gratitude with the gesture saying: “We are over the moon that this year, for the first time, we are able to supply all of the children we support, with an egg for Easter. We would like to thank all the staff at Scott Rees & Co sincerely for their generosity and kindness.”

Action for Children is a nationwide charity who works directly with over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers from across the UK to help tackle serious issues such as child neglect and abuse.
Speaking about why she decided to organise the campaign, Emma from Skelmersdale said: “I was watching ‘Finding Mum and Dad’ on TV a few months ago and it got me thinking about how some children are less fortunate than others, especially around such holidays as Easter and Christmas time.
“With Easter just around the corner, this made me think that, although there are plenty of toy appeals, I hadn’t seen many for Easter eggs around this time of year, so I decided that I would launch one within the firm.
“I am truly delighted with the response from my colleagues and the final total of Easter eggs donated was fantastic. It just goes to show how far a little generosity can go.”
