Students throwing their hat to celebrate

Personal injury specialists, Scott Rees & Co solicitors are delighted to congratulate two of their trainees, who over the past few months have completed their training contracts and qualified as fully fledged solicitors with the firm.

Claire Allen and Laura Campbell both completed their training contracts and are now looking forward to a bright future with the firm.

Claire, who joined the firm in 2010, is from Liverpool originally and currently resides in Maghull. She began her journey at Sheffield Hallam University, studying law and graduated in 2009. She then moved on to complete her LPC in 2010 at the College of Law in Chester. She completed her training contract in September to qualify as a full solicitor.

Meanwhile Laura, who is originally from Liverpool but now lives in Preston, completed her training last month. She is a 2008 graduate of Liverpool John Moores University where she studied Sociology and Criminology. She then moved on to Manchester Metropolitan University to do the Graduate Diploma in Law before completing her LPC at the College of Law in 2010, the same year in which she joined Scott Rees & Co.

Both have been involved in the Junior Lawyers Division for Southport and Ormskirk, which launched this year with Claire acting as a charity representative and Laura working as a social representative. Laura also contributes regularly to a blog designed to give advice and guidance for trainees coming through the industry called www.younglawyer.co.uk with her articles also appearing in the Young Lawyer magazine on a regular basis.

Both are delighted to complete their training contracts with Claire saying: “It has been a long journey but the hard work was well worth it. I am thankful for Scott Rees & Co for giving me the opportunity to learn and develop. Their support throughout has been great.”

Laura added: “I would like to thank Scott Rees & Co for all of their support and my work colleagues for helping me through. It seems like only yesterday that I began my training so to complete it is brilliant. I am looking forward now to working as a fully fledged solicitor and I’m excited for what the future holds.”

Scott Rees & Co has had a fantastic year when it comes to recruitment and over the past few months have welcomed the next group of trainee solicitors on board.

This is particularly impressive considering the hard year the industry has had. Managing Partner, Royston Smith alludes to saying: “It has been a year of transformation for the legal industry especially personal injury where so many changes and cuts have restricted the growth of the sector on a whole. Thankfully we have been able to remain proactive and overcome.”

He went on to congratulate Laura and Claire on their qualifications saying: “Over the past few years Laura and Claire have worked hard and now they have everything to show for it. I congratulate them both on their qualifications to solicitor and wish them all the best with Scott Rees & Co moving into the future.”

At Scott Rees & Co we are committed to providing the staff the very best support and proactivity towards staff development. If you would like to be part of Scott Rees & Co’s work force and environment, send in your CV and get in touch with us!
