In the week where Stephen Lee shamed snooker, Scott Rees & Co Marketing Partner, David Byrne, brought some much needed respectability back to table sports as he reigned triumphant at Speed Medical’s Pool Shark event last Thursday evening.
Four opponents stood in the way of David and the Speed Medical title but none of them could stand the heat when it came to facing him and he was able to walk away with the winner’s trophy at the end of the evening.
Speaking afterwards he said: “It is nice to be invited to events like this and network with people from within our industry. Obviously I am delighted to win the tournament as well. I would like to thank Speed Medical for inviting me along, it truly was an enjoyable evening.”
Away from being a legal eagle, David enjoys getting involved in sport whether it is supporting his beloved Everton Football Club or cycling with Olympic Champions, as he had the opportunity to do last year in the Manchester Velodrome, with Rebecca Romero.
With cycling and pool out of the way, it remains to be seen which sport David will participate in next.
