Scott Rees & Co selling cakes to fundraise for Macmillan Coffee Morning 2018

Last Friday, 28th September 2018, we took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning to fundraise for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. On this day we sold cakes, doughnuts, flapjacks, cookies and more, and even hosted a ‘Guess the Number of Sweets’ competition, which unfortunately I didn’t win! – but well-done to the 2 lucky winners who did :)!

Macmillan is an organisation that provides support to people affected with cancer. Everyone copes differently when they hear the news of cancer, but Macmillan Cancer Support can provide information and support during this devastating time. From practical advice to financial support, to treating the cancer and after-cancer treatment; Macmillan will be by your side to give you the energy and inspiration to recover and help you be more like yourself. Their support also extends to the families and friends of the person affected with cancer, as we know cancer doesn’t just affect the individual. Read here for more information about the wonderful role of Macmillan Cancer Support.

This year we raised £362 for Macmillan! Thank you to the generous donations by everyone! We’d also like to thank the effort of the people who baked cakes and brought cakes in for the coffee morning. Lastly, we’d like to thank the helpers who took part in organising this fundraiser event at Scott Rees & Co: Gail Pugh, Laura Anderson and Nicky O’Connor. You all did fabulous!
