Skem Men-Aces at Special Olympics

Last week Scott Rees & Co announced that they will be sponsoring local football team Skem Men-Aces and over the weekend they gave a glimpse at what could be an extremely successful partnership by claiming the silver medal at the Special Olympic games.

The Skelmersdale based team, which was set up to allow athletes with learning disabilities the chance to get involved with sport, took a team of 8 down to Bath to attend the event, along with 1,700 other athletes and came back with more than they could ever of dreamed of.

Scott Rees Marketing Partner, David Byrne congratulated everyone involved with the team’s success saying: “We are truly honoured to be the sponsors of this fantastic football team and what they have achieved already is truly remarkable. Everyone at the firm would like to congratulate the players and management for their hard work that has led to them winning the silver.”

The Skem Men-Aces who were chosen to represent the North West at the games, kept people up to date with their success through their own interactive blog and even got to meet worldwide singing sensation Susan Boyle, who opened the ceremony.
