Skem Men-Aces at Special Olympics

Local football team and Special Olympic Silver medal winners, Skem Men-Aces, invited Scott Rees & Co along to be a part of their open top bus parade, as they celebrated their success at last month’s championships and thanked the people of Skelmersdale for their overwhelming support before, during and after the games.

Representing Scott Rees & Co, who sponsor the club, was Jamie Hornby and Dan Curwen as they made their way around the town, showing off their medals and taking in the appreciation of the local people.

Speaking about the event, Jamie said: “It was a great afternoon and was so good to see so many people turning out to show their support for the team. We would like to thank everyone at Skem Men-Aces for inviting us along to be a part of it.”

As part of the sponsorship deal Scott Rees & Co will provide the team with a new kit which is due to arrive over the next week or so, as well as some training equipment to help the club continue its ever increasing improvements.
