In a challenging period of time for the personal injury industry, Scott Rees has continued to show strength as we welcome eleven new members of staff. We welcome new starters (pictured below from left to right) Charlotte Mowatt, Shahid Haque, Nicola Whittaker, Nicola Smart, Anne-Marie Evans, Jessica Jones, Andrew McQue, Samantha Cummings and Louise O’Neill.
It had been predicted that due to wholesale government cuts and changes to which the industry operates that there would be an increase across the industry in unemployment but this has not been the case for the Skelmersdale solicitor firm.
In March as the industry geared up for the LASPO reforms (Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act), the company reported an influx of nine new members of staff and are delighted that this month they have been able to go two better with eleven.
Managing Partner Royston Smith said: “Through times of adversity we have shown just how strong we are as a firm. For the past 20 years we have been committed to providing our employees with the best development opportunities and with nine new trainee paralegals joining our team this month, we are showing that while others are struggling to come to terms with the government’s ruthless changes, we will continue to go from strength to strength and offer the best development opportunities around. I am delighted to welcome our new staff and look forward to welcoming more in the future.”
Scott Rees currently hold the Gold Standard by the Investors in People, which they were awarded in 2011 which is for distinction in the very highest levels of people management practice and their ability to continue to provide employment and development opportunities is a clear indication of exactly why they are one of only five legal firms form the North West to have achieved this.
We are always on the look out for highly motivated and dedicated people to add to the team and if you are interested in a role with Scott Rees & Co, then please contact us and send us your CV!
