Seven employees from Scott Rees & Co solicitors showed off their football skills last month when they took part in Barclay’s specially arranged charity football tournament to help raise money for The Christie Foundation.
Overall there were two events held in Liverpool and Manchester helping to raise a staggering £7,812.23 for the charity, which Barclay’s will double to bring the total up to £15,624.46.
The Scott Rees employees included Jamie Hornby, Phil Hall, Dan Curwen, David Bannister, David Speed, Adam Seddon and Mark Pennington. They managed to progress to the quarter finals of the tournament before being beaten 2-0.
Speaking after the event, Legal Assistant Jamie Hornby said: “We were delighted to take part in such a great event. Obviously we would have loved to have won the tournament but to hear that we played our part in raising such an incredible amount of money, for such a deserving cause makes it all worthwhile.”
