Scott Rees & Co Enter Decade of Sponsorship with Skelmersdale CC

Personal Injury Specialists, Scott Rees and Co, has announced that they will continue their support for Skelmersdale Cricket club for a 10th consecutive season.

With the 2016 season now underway, the firm have pledged a further £2000 into the club, who continue to improve their facilities and profile within the local community, thanks to the great ongoing relationship they have with the personal injury specialists.

Scott Rees and Co Marketing Partner, David Byrne (pictured above), was once again on hand to present the cheque to Skelmersdale CC President, Bill Regan, who thanked the firm for all of their support over the past decade.

He also underlined the club’s plans to further progress with the new initiative launched last season to encourage local children to come and play the game and has high hopes for the team’s progress on the pitch this year.

Speaking about the decision to continue to continue their sponsorship deal for another year, David Byrne was full of praise for the club. He said:

“Over the past decade we have enjoyed a great relationship with Skelmersdale Cricket Club and we are delighted for this to continue moving forward into the new season. The work they are currently doing to encourage the younger members of the community to come and get involved is fantastic and we are only too pleased to be able to offer our further support to this cause.”

To follow this, Skelmersdale CC President, Bill Regan, said:

“We are delighted that Scott Rees and Co has decided to continue their sponsorship of the club. Their support over the past decade has been invaluable to us and we hope that this year will be our most successful yet.”

Skelmersdale’s first team play in Liverpool and District Cricket Competition 1st XI Second Division and played their first match of the new season at the weekend, unfortunately losing to Liverpool CC by four wickets at Scott Rees Park. The second team did not fare much better as they were beaten by Prestatyn CC 2nd XI by six wickets.

Both will be looking to bounce back this coming weekend with the firsts travelling to The Rookery, to take on Southport Trinity and the Seconds are entertaining Alder CC at Scott Rees Park, with the match due to start at 1.45pm. For more details visit Skelmersdale Cricket Club’s website.
