Scott Rees & Co sends team to the world cup…. Sort of

Next month will see the 3rd annual instalment of the “One Call World Cup”. The event hosted at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat stadium will see a number of teams battle it out for the cup. Scott Rees & Co will again be sending an intrepid team following the great success last year.

Eve’s Trust

Last years event raised a fantastic £4,132.84 for the cup’s chosen charity The Eve Merton Dreams Trust (Eve’s Trust). The tournament which is a 5 a side football competition, looks to bring teams from a number of companies across the country. Last year’s event saw the hosts One Call Insurance come out on top. This year, we are hoping the Scott Rees & Co squad put in a good performance and topple the defending champions.

The charity behind the event is an incredibly worthy cause. Eve’s Trust provides the realisation of dreams for terminally and seriously ill cancer patients in the Doncaster area. After being set up in 2011, the organisation regularly raises funds to fulfill as many dreams each year as possible.

Scott Rees & Co’s adventure

Despite being Scott Rees & Co’s debut at the competition, we are hoping our previous battles with the excellent Skem Men Aces team (above) have prepared the group for an excellent day’s play.

The invitation to play was immediately taken up by Marketing Partner David Byrne who believes it will not only be a good experience for the representatives of the firm to enjoy their day at the Keepmoat, but also to do our part in assisting a great local charity do it’s work.

If you would like to donate towards the charity, you can do so in a variety of ways including “MyDonate” by BT and JustGiving. You can text donations by sending the message EMDT 11 followed by the amount you wish to give to 70070. For example, by texting ‘EMDT 11 £5’ you will pledge £5 towards the cause.

The event will take place this coming Tuesday so keep a lookout for all the aftermath in the coming weeks. Good luck guys!
