Last Friday Scott Rees & Co took part in raising money for the Macmillan Cancer Support by selling cakes, pastries and biscuits. We are delighted to announce that for our Macmillan Coffee Morning, Scott Rees & Co raised a total of £414.74!

Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity that provides all kinds of support (medical, emotional, practical, and financial) to people affected by cancer. It is not just the people suffering from cancer who need the support, but can also be family members and friends as well. Macmillan nurses can give personal support, advice and comfort throughout the treatment and more.

We would like to express a big thank you to Gail Pugh and Bre Swift for organising the event to raise money for Macmillan. A lot of different cakes and food were brought in including cup cakes, muffins, mini-bites, lemon curd tarts, carrot cake, red velvet cake, fruit cake, chocolate cake, cookies, apple pie, scones, donuts, home-baked cakes and more.
We would also like to thank anyone who helped with the fundraising by baking cakes and/or bringing cakes in; or by participating in the “Guess the weight of the cake” or “How many sweets in the jar” competitions; or by purchasing cakes from the Cake Stand during lunch hours.
