We are pleased to welcome our new Head of Medical Negligence, and Associate at the firm, Jeanette Aspinall.

Due to our growing reputation and expertise in first class service, we have been able to continue the development of our specialist Medical Negligence team by recruiting Jeanette, a solicitor who has dedicated her career to personal injury work since 1996.

This experienced and supportive team has expanded considerably since her arrival, with the addition of two experienced nurses to its portfolio, and will cover a broad spectrum of medical negligence claims including cases involving pregnancies and births, cosmetic surgery, eye injuries, surgery gone wrong and delays in diagnosis of cancer or other serious diseases.

Jeanette, who is a senior medical negligence solicitor, has enjoyed previous success at another North West legal firm prior to her joining Scott Rees and Co, where she was responsible for the launch of their medical negligence department.

She has been involved in several high profile cases throughout her career and is regularly interviewed by the press on TV and radio in relation to her support for better care and treatment.

Jeanette has also provided training to other companies on issues surrounding medical negligence, passing on her experience in providing the best quality legal service and support to victims of medical negligence.

Often described by her clients as “approachable and professional”, Jeanette is thoroughly committed to her clients and the service she and her team provide to them. She has pledged her commitment to getting answers for those who have suffered medical negligence, saying: “I’m delighted to join Scott Rees and Co Solicitors. Our legal service is designed to be much more approachable and supportive than the offering from most traditional law firms.”

“I think it is important to ensure your clients feel that they can trust you and rely on your support during what is often a very difficult time.”

“My aim is to get answers for victims of medical negligence quickly by immediately obtaining the relevant evidence required and ensuring that it is considered by the best medical experts in the field.”

Welcoming Jeanette to the firm, and showing his delight at her arrival, Scott Rees and Co Managing Partner, Royston Smith, said: “Jeanette has an outstanding reputation for providing first class care to her clients. It is a real coup for us to be able to welcome her to our firm.”

“We have been committed over the last three months to the development of our medical negligence department. Thanks to declining care standards and government cuts, more and more instances of this type of injury are occurring and we want to offer those who suffer because of this, the best care and support possible, while helping them get the compensation they need and deserve.”

“I could think of no better person to head up that department and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Jeanette to the firm.”
