We did it, a little over two weeks ago the nation united for one of the most generous nights in the calendar, Children in Need, and this year Scott Rees and Co set a new record as they raised £680 for the appeal.

As usual we ran our annual raffle for the big event as well as encouraged our staff to wear their Pudsey colours on the day at the cost of a donation and the response was fantastic, easily beating last years total of £535.

Organiser, Tony Hedley who works in the post room, thanked everyone for helping by either donating prizes for the raffles, buying tickets to take part and for choosing to wear the colours and donate.

Marketing Partner, David Byrne, added: “Once again this has been a tremendous effort by everyone at the firm to help to support such a worth cause and we are proud with the superb results we have seen.”

“Children in Need is something we commit to supporting every year and it is truly fantastic that we have managed to once again better last years fundraising total and we hope to repeat this feat next year.”

This is not the first time Scott Rees and Co have managed to better their donation total this year after exceeding the previous years fundraising amount in September for the World’s Biggest Coffee morning for MacMillan Cancer and all eyes will be turned towards next year and whether the firm can continue the trend.

Overall the BBC Children in need managed to raise an astonishing £32, 620, 469 which is the biggest yet, with each and every penny raised, pledged towards helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

Scott Rees and Co actively support a number of organisations and charities, both locally and nationally. To see examples of what we do to support the community, visit out sponsorship page.
