Scott Rees & Co are pleased to announce the addition of two new solicitors to their consistently expanding team.

Daniel King and Charlotte Ledson have both arrived at the firm in recent weeks, with Daniel joining the Road Traffic Accident department and Charlotte joining the Employment and Public Liability team.

Daniel, who is originally from Liverpool and now resides in St. Helens, is a talented solicitor with experience in all areas of law although he specialises in civil litigation, insurance law and negligence.

After gaining an interest in a legal career at an early age, Daniel graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2004, before moving on to complete his legal practice course in 2006, with distinction, from the Chester College of Law. He went on from here to qualify as a solicitor in 2008.

Before joining Scott Rees & Co, Daniel had spells with Keoghs Solicitors and a major insurance company. When asked about his reasons for joining Scott Rees & Co, Daniel explained that the firm’s ambitions matched his own and that their reputation in the industry preceded them. Scott Rees & Co have always championed staff development and this was a deciding factor for Daniel.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and is a regular visitor to Anfield as a Liverpool FC season ticket holder.

Charlotte, who hails from Preston, is a personal injury solicitor and is joining the employer’s liability and public liability team.

Her desire to help others is one of the reasons Charlotte took the path towards becoming a solicitor, “to be a person that can help and assist in what can be a difficult time in somebody’s life is a great satisfaction” Charlotte adds.

Graduating from the University of Central Lancashire in Law in 2008, Charlotte completed her Bar Vocational Course from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009, before cross-qualifying as a solicitor in 2013.

Prior to joining Scott Rees & Co, Charlotte spent five years learning her trade initially as a paralegal and then as a solicitor at Colemans-CTTS. After hearing of the opportunities Scott Rees & Co offer to those in the legal industry, Charlotte could not pass on the chance to join the team, stating: “When the time was right and I heard the position was available I had to take my chance on the opportunity.”

Royston Smith, Scott Rees and Co’s Managing Partner, has expressed his delight with the additions of Charlotte and Daniel to the team, saying: “We are always looking for the best and brightest talent at the firm and I am extremely pleased that we have continued that trend with Charlotte and Daniel. I wish them the best of luck at their new roles.”
