Just over a week ago, on Saturday 27th April, we invited our business partners CompiClaims to join us and watch the Wigan Warriors play the Castleford Tigers.
Stephen Hussey of Scott Rees & Co was joined by his son Joe as he met with Iain Routh, Managing Director of CompiClaims, Iain’s wife and 2 more members of the CompiClaims team.
“The game was at the DW Stadium and we were situated in the Heineken Suite in the West Stand.
“Due to the poor conditions of heavy wind and rain, it was not an entertaining match and was more of a defensive slog for 80 minutes.”
The Castleford Tigers led the first half 0-4 with 2 penalty kicks. The Wigan Warriors made a come back in the second half when Sam Powell scooted over for a short range try under the sticks before Zak Hardaker converted to end the game 6-4.
With the tough season Wigan are having this year, it was a welcomed win in difficult circumstances.

The Wigan Warriors next play on Sunday 12th May against second placed Warrington Wolves in what will likely be another testing encounter.
