You might have recently received a ton of emails from different firms about the same thing – Privacy. We had to send it too! This is because from the 25th May 2018, every company in the UK needs to have changed their Privacy Policies to abide by the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). Failure to do so can result in huge fines that could break a business.
GDPR training
As a solicitor firm, we have always been strict and safe with how we’ve dealt with our client’s personal and sensitive data. Last week we brought in Shazia Zamir of Teal Compliance who has over 20 years in the industry of privacy and compliance for businesses. She came in and addressed us with a fascinating lecture on what to expect with the new changes from a professional stand point. Thank you again to Shazia Zamir for making the trip to us from Leeds.
Our new Policy
You can read our new Privacy Policy here. It concerns you as much as it concerns us, after all! The policy covers what information we collect, why we collect it and we how use it. It also talks about your rights concerning such data. I’m afraid it is a little bit long-winded, but it wasn’t something we could skirt around.
