Using a solicitor during the coronavirus pandemic

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions placed upon us by the government, we understand that you may be hesitant about using a solicitor in these times.

You may have many questions about using a solicitor, such as whether we need to meet face-to-face, either at our offices or at your home? Other questions could be if we need to send anything to you in the post or vice versa?

Personal injury

We do not need to meet face-to-face for any of our personal injury claim cases. We will be able to process your claim from start to finish without the need for you to come into our offices at any time during your claim.

Should you wish to talk to your solicitor face-to-face, we can schedule appointments electronically over skype or zoom.

Our contactless personal injury claim service allows us to process everything by phone or email. For the majority of our personal injury cases, all documents can and would be signed online using a secure platform. Letters are only sent if it is an original piece of evidence, or it is something that must be physically signed.

Conveyancing

We can offer a contactless conveyancing service from your initial quote to the completion of your purchase/sale. We can carry out the whole conveyancing service without needing to meet with you face-to-face in our office. The whole contactless conveyancing service can be delivered via the phone, email video calls if necessary. Letters will only be sent if absolutely necessary, but otherwise we will refrain from doing so.

Copies of your ID will be required, but we will advise you on how we will receive and accept this from you.

Regarding the paperwork for exchanging contracts, we will send this to you via the post (or by email) for you to sign in the presence of an independent witness (please comply with social distancing).

Wills & probate

All of our wills and probate services can be carried out contactless. Whether it be by phone, by email, or by video call, we can take your instructions and advise as necessary without the need for a face-to-face appointment.

Any documents that need to be sent to you will be done by email to reduce physical contact, but we will do our best to adapt our services to cater to your needs and requirements.

For documents that require a signature, this may be sent by letter or by email to be signed online over a secure platform. Debt recovery

We can offer a contactless debt recovery service that remains as efficient as ever.

This means there is no need for a face-to-face meeting on site at our office as any communication will be made by phone or email, or even voice call (skype, zoom, etc) if required.

This will allow us to be as contactless and paperless as possible and still be able to deliver you a stress-free service.

Any documents involved is usually scanned and emailed, and any documents that require a signature can be conducted online over a secure platform.
