The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) are a regulatory body within the legal industry. They set the principles and provide a code of conduct for regulated solicitors to abide by. They ensure that all legal firms maintain a high professional standard and perform with the best of interest of their clients.
Scott Rees & Co are authorised and regulated by the SRA and our SRA number is 74802.
The Lexcel accreditation is a Law Society benchmark for excellence in practice management. Having consistently achieved this award since 2012, the most recent reaccreditation was awarded at the end of 2022. This shows we have consistently managed to maintain our high standards and deliver a high level of service expected by the industry to our clients.
In 2015 we were named in the Legal 500 for the first time in our history. The Legal 500 is a highly prestigious legal directory that is put together using information gathered about the firm’s performance, as well as being based on feedback required by our clients. We have been part of the Legal 500 every year since.
Every year we are audited by the NQA on how we manage accessibility, confidentiality and integrity of information as well as legal compliance. This ISO 27001 certification shows that your personal information is protected to a high standard and that we have the procedures in place to lessen or entirely prevent all potential security threats to the data that we have from our clients.
In 2007 we started our partnership with Investors in People, being recognised formally at that point as an organisation which leads the way in our investment in people through its training and development of our talent, quality leadership, positive culture and continuing improvement in these fields. We’ve continued to successfully maintain accreditation since 2007 and, most recently in 2023, were awarded Silver Standard by the Investors in People.
In 2016 we were shortlisted as a finalist for the Lancashire Legal Business Award at the Red Rose Awards. This recognises our achievements throughout the calendar year.
