Scott Rees & Co solicitors have confirmed that they will continue to sponsor Skelmersdale Cricket Club for the 2013 season and have pledged £2,000 to the club.

Since 2007 the Lancashire-based firm has enjoyed a good relationship with the club and have supported several events across the course of their time in partnership. The ground in which they play at has also adopted the personal injury specialist’s name.

Scott Rees Partner, David Byrne said: “We are delighted to continue our support for Skelmersdale Cricket Club. Over the past 6 years we have forged a good partnership with them and we hope to continue this moving into the future.”

Skelmersdale currently have three teams and got their season under way at the start of May after bad weather caused a delay. So far they have won two league games and were victorious in the first cup game and there is plenty of optimism around the club that they could mount a promotion push. There is also high expectation on last seasons under 18’s squad who have now been moved up to the under 21s after an unprecedented season of success last term which saw them undefeated throughout the season, as they recorded a league and cup double.

Club General Secretary, Derek Lowe said: “On behalf of Skelmersdale Cricket club we would like to offer our sincere thanks to David for taking the time to call in at Scott Rees Park to present us with the sponsorship cheque for the 2013 season. The generous sponsorship by Scott Rees & Co over the last six years has been invaluable in the continued progress of the club.”

Since founded in 1992, Scott Rees & Co have pledged their support to many different local and national organisations as they strive to help the community for which they serve. If you think your group or charity would benefit from our support, then contact us today and we’ll see what we can do!
