SCOTT REES TEAM UP WITH LOCAL CRICKETERS

Scott Rees & Co Solicitors is supporting Skelmersdale Cricket Club for the third year running.

The firm donated £1,500 to the club which is being used to replenish equipment for the junior cricket section and provide facilities for the newly installed all-weather wicket.

Scott Rees started supporting Skelmersdale Cricket Club in 2008, and the Blaguegate Lane club is retaining the name Scott Rees Park for the 2010 season.

David Byrne, Marketing Partner at Scott Rees, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Skelmersdale Cricket Club for the 2010 season.

“We are pleased to hear that the funds will be used to support investment in junior cricket, and I hope that lots of local youngsters will benefit from the facilities available this summer.”

The club runs four senior and four junior teams, with a Head Coach and a team of qualified coaches and assistants.

Skelmersdale CC is also involved with the cricket charity Chance to Shine, which this year is being promoted by Lancashire cricketer and England all rounder, Andrew Flintoff.

Derek Lowe, General Secretary of Skelmersdale Cricket Club, said: “We are extremely grateful to Scott Rees for their generous support which will enable us to continue our commitment to junior cricket development.”
