Scott Rees & Co staff enjoys double celebration

Congratulations of the highest order are due for one particular Scott Rees & Co team member. Not only do we say thank you to Catastrophic Injury Department Leader Naomi Connor (formerly Riley) for 10 years of excellent service, we also send out our sincerest well wishes to her and partner Chris as they tied the knot at the end of May.

Naomi Riley/ Connor

Years in the making

After joining Scott Rees & Co from William Hill bookmakers as a Filing Clerk, Naomi has worked through many job titles in her time to where she is now as Partner’s Assistant and Head of the Catastrophic Injury Department.

During her time she has developed her legal career through the company development programme. She now finds herself in the final stages of her Chartered Institute of Legal Executives fellowship!

Naomi is very thankful for the assistance during her time, admitting “I honestly could not have gained my legal qualification without the support of my employers”.

Added celebrations

On top of the 10 years of service, we also say huge congratulations to Naomi and her partner Chris who were married at the end of May. Chris, a Partner here at Scott Rees & Co, had been planning the wedding for over a year with Naomi. Both of them had been together for 5 years, meeting initially at work.

While it can have its challenges, Naomi says that the “pros far outweigh the cons” when it comes to working with your partner. Understanding the nature of each other’s job roles and work will go a long way to having an understanding partnership

Internal development

Naomi’s story is one we are proud of at Scott Rees & Co. We enjoy seeing staff develop and over 10 years, Naomi has done just that. Last year we were pleased to announce Chris’ promotion to Partner, his own story similar to Naomi’s, beginning humbly as a filing clerk before working up into management.

With the two returning to work following their happy day, we wish them nothing but the brightest future. We look forward to many more years of growth and development personally and professionally for Chris and Naomi. Congratulations.
