Scott Rees & Co is excited to announce Hywel Thomas as Partner

Hywel Thomas new partner of Scott Rees

We are pleased to announce that Hywel Thomas has been promoted to Partner this month. We would firstly like to congratulate him on his new role on behalf of all the staff here at Scott Rees & Co.

Hywel has a vast and experienced background in all types of personal injury claims which lead him to start working in EL/PL departments as a solicitor.

His career began in 2000 at Irving’s in which he progressed through the ranks from a Solicitor to Head of Fast Track at Hampson Hughes. Then in 2013 he joined Scott Rees & Co and never looked back. He states how he has enjoyed working with a variety of people on daily basis.

“I started work for Scott Rees & Co over 3 years ago and from the start everyone I have worked with has been really kind and supportive”

In the summer of 2015 Hywel spotted a vacancy that came up for the Team Manager of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) and he was successful in landing the role. From his hard work and long hours he became acting head of department when Tim Allen moved up to take on his new role of COLP.

Managing Partner, Royston Smith, was full of praise for Hywel, saying:

“Since joining us at Scott Rees & Co, Hywel has become an asset to the firm and we are delighted to offer him the opportunity to become a partner at the firm.”

“I would like to wish Hywel all the best for his new role and hopefully he can continue to contribute to the progression of the firm”

Hywel is the third person to earn a promotion to partner in the past six months, joining both Chris Connor and Jeanette Aspinall, who received their promotions in December and April, respectively.

Scott Rees and Co continue to offer opportunities to ambitious people and success stories such as these, show that hard work, alongside the support they offer their staff in terms of development, certainly pays off.
