MASS

MASS stands for Motor Accident Solicitors Society. MASS is a national association of motor accident solicitors who represent victims of road traffic accidents.

Medical evidence

A medical report by a medical expert will be relied upon as medical evidence of your pain, suffering and loss of amenity when addressed to court.

Medical examination

Arranged by your solicitor so that a medical expert can question your accident and assess your injuries in order to produce a medical report (that is used as evidence for your pain, suffering and loss of amenity to the court).

Medical expert

A medical expert is the person who produces your medical report during your medical examination and is registered and audited by MedCo.

Medical negligence

Can be known as clinical negligence. Medical negligence is a claim for compensation for injuries that you have received from the service of a negligent professional in the medical industry.

Medical record

We may request your medical records from the DWP so that we can have consistency of your accident history. This is to ensure that the injuries you are claiming for are what you sustained from the accident.

Medical report

A medical report is produced by a medical expert and will be relied upon as medical evidence of your pain, suffering and loss of amenity when addressed to court.

Mesothelioma

An aggressive form of cancer that develops in the tissues covering the lungs or the abdomen. It is caused by the inhalation of asbestos fibres into the body and is a common industrial disease.

Ministry of Justice

Ministry of Justice can be abbreviated to MoJ. They are responsible for the justice system of the court as well as prisons, probation services and attendance centres.

Minor

A person under the legal age of full responsibility, which is 18 years old in England and Wales.

Misdiagnosis

The incorrect diagnosis of a disease or disorder. There is a slight difference in meaning with undiagnosed, which means a disease or disorder that was undiscovered or missed.
