Data Protection Act

The Data Protection Act controls how your personal and sensitive information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.

Deafness

Deafness is the loss of hearing. If you believe you are suffering hearing loss due to your workplace environment, then you may be suffering from industrial deafness and should see your doctor immediately.

Defendant

The defendant is usually the person or organisation contesting against the claim and accusations of liability made by the claimant.

Department of Work and Pensions

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is the UK’s biggest public service department. We may request your medical records from the DWP so that we can have consistency of your accident history.

Disbursement

Disbursements are external fees that are made by a solicitor on behalf of the claimant but can be potentially claimed back from the client or recovered from the third party. These external legal costs include court fees and the fees charged to obtain medical records or medical reports.

DWP

DWP stands for Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and is the UK’s biggest public service department. We may request your medical records from the DWP so that we can have consistency of your accident history.
